We process your personal information strictly for the purpose of providing the extension's core functionality:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication.
- To analyze your resume and profile using AI services to match and answer job application questions.
- To automatically inject your professional information into job application forms on supported third-party platforms.
We do not use your data for advertising, nor do we use it to train our own general AI models.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely to ensure privacy and protection:
- Cloud Storage: Account and professional data (e.g., parsed resume information) is stored securely in our cloud database (Firebase/Firestore) to synchronize your profile across devices.
- Local Storage: Certain preferences and session tokens are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure local storage APIs.
- Data Retention: We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
5. Data Sharing
We only share information to provide you with the core services of the extension. We do NOT sell your data to any third parties.
- Third-Party Job Boards: When you use the auto-apply feature, your information is submitted directly to the job boards (e.g., LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever) on your behalf and subject to their privacy policies.
- AI Providers: We securely transmit parsed resume data and job descriptions to AI providers (such as OpenAI, Groq, or HuggingFace) solely to generate application responses. These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and do not use this data to train public models.
